The state of Bahia has a warm tropical climate for most of the year that promote the visit all year round. In Chapada Diamantina even rains hamper visits, as it is right by the rains that many of the attractions are dependent to really impress, such as the waterfall "Fumaça". From April to September in "Poço Azul" and "Poço Encantado" the sun´s rays that penetrate a fissure in the cave and reach the crystal clear waters create a natural phenomenon among the most beautiful in the Chapada Diamantina.

Route and duration (remind you that the program can be customized)

Day 1 - Salvador / Lençóis

At 06:00 am departure to reach the bus station of Salvador where you board the air-conditioned bus of 07:00 am in the direction of town of Lençóis, will be carried a distance of about 390 km of paved roads for a duration of 7 hours approximately.
Tickets for the bus to embark are already paid by our travel agency, but must be picked up on site and when boarding will also request a fee of R $ 2,00.
During the trip we will take a pause for lunch (lunch not included).

Arrival to the town of Lençóis about 02:00 pm and the next accommodation at the hotel.

Day 2 - Lençóis/ Gruta Lapa Doce, Pratinha, Gruta Azul e Morro do Pai Inácio

After breakfast at the hotel, at 8:30 a.m. we will leave the town of Lençóis by car in the direction of Iraquara, on this day we will visit the Gruta da Lapa Doce with its immense halls and limestone formations, where a specialized guide will accompany us for about an hour and a half, showing us the beautiful stalactites, stalagmites of these underground environments.
We will continue the journey by car until we reach Fazenda Pratinha, a true inland oasis, where we will stay for about 2:30 / 3 hours and where we can bathe in a crystal-clear water stream and visit Gruta Azul and Gruta Pratinha. Please note that the excursion to float in the Gruta da Pratinha is optional at a cost of R$100 per person and cannot be booked in advance.
At 3:30 p.m. we will leave Fazenda Pratinha , we will have almost 50 km to cover and then we will have to climb the 500 meters to the top of Morro do Pai Inácio, the most famous mountain in Chapada Diamantina, where there is a spectacular view of the entire national park and where we will finally be able to contemplate the sunset and admire Morro do Camelo and Três Irmãos, remembering that the time limit for the climb is 5 p.m.

Return to the town of Lençóis at about 6:30 pm. At the end of this day, 6 km of walking and 130 km by car will have been covered.

Day 3 - Lençóis / Cachoeira da Fumaça e Riachinho

Breakfast at hotel and departure at 08:00 am to reach the valley "Vale do Capão".

After 75 km in air-conditioned vehicle, you will start the trek on the path that leads to the "Cachoeira da Fumaça" with about 380 meters high.
Today we will know "Riachinho" and the impressive "Cachoeira da Fumaça", with its 400 meters height.
Starting from the seat of the guides do Capão, there will be 2 km uphill and more 4.5 km in the plains to reach the waterfall, characterized by the presence of water only during periods of rain and where you can see the valley "Vale da Fumaça". Pause for a snack and return along the same path, admiring the beautiful plateau. Return to the city of Lençóis around 06:00 pm. In total have been paths 13 km of trails and 140 km by car.

Day 4 - Lençóis / Salvador

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 07:00 am departure to reach the bus station of Lençois where you board the air-conditioned bus departing at 07:30 am to the city of Salvador, along 390 km of paved roads for a period of 7 hours.
Arrival at 02:30 pm and later proceed to the airport or to the hotel.

O clima quente e o sol irradiante a cada dia favorecem a visitação o ano todo. Na Chapada Diamantina nem mesmo as chuvas atrapalham a sua viagem, já que muitos atrativos dependem delas para impressionar os visitantes, como é o caso da Fumaça. De Abril a Setembro nos Poços Azul e Encantado os feixes de luz solar penetram por uma fenda na caverna e emergem em suas águas extremamente cristalinas, apresentando um dos fenômenos naturais mais belos da Chapada Diamantina.

Saída do hotel as 06:00 horas com veiculo climatizado rumo a rodoviária da cidade de Salvador onde embarcar no ônibus das 07:00 rumo a cidade de Lençóis.
Serão percorridos cerca de 390 km de estradas de asfalto, completando uma duração total de 7 horas de viagem.

Após o café da manhã desfrutado no hotel, saida em veículo da cidade de Lençóis às 8h30min em direção a Iraquara, neste dia visitaremos à Gruta da Lapa Doce com seus imensos salões e formações calcárias, um guia especializado acompanhará por aproximadamente uma hora e meia apresentando as estalactites, estalagmites e colunas nos ambientes subterrâneos.

Continuaremos nossa viagem de carro até alcançar a Fazenda Pratinha, um oásis do sertão onde ficaremos cerca de 2 horas e meia a 3 horas e onde desfrutaremos de banho de rio de água cristalina e visitaremos a Gruta Azul e Gruta Pratinha somente para fotos, sendo que a flutuação na Gruta da Pratinha é opcional ao custo de R$ 100 por pessoa e não pode ser reservada com antecedência.
Às 15:30 sairemos da Fazenda Pratinha para contemplar o entardecer no Morro do Pai Inácio, lembrando que o horário limite para subida até as 17h e teremos quase 50km de distância para percorrer e subir os 500 metros de acesso ao topo da montanha mais famosa da Chapada Diamantina e admirar o Morro do Camelo e dos Três Irmãos.

Retorno para Lençóis às 18h. Distância em caminhadas 6 km e distância em veículo 130 km.

Lençóis / Cachoeira da Fumaça e Riachinho

Café da manhã e saída as 08:00 com destino ao Vale do Capão.

Depois de 75 km no carro, parada no quiosque, onde se inicia a trilha para Cachoeira da Fumaça, de aproximadamente 380m de queda livre. A partir da sede da Associação de Guias do Capão, são 2 km de subida e 4,5km de plano até a chegada nesta Cachoeira que só tem com água em períodos de chuva e de onde é possível observar o Vale da Fumaça. Parada para um lanche e retorno pelo mesmo caminho, admirando o belo Morro.

Após chegada no carro, transporte e caminhada até o Riachinho para puder tomar um banho no local.

Retorno para Lençóis pela tarde, com chegada às 18h30min. Distância em caminhadas 13 km e distância em veículo 140 km .

Extra information

To visit Chapada Diamantina at any time of the year you must bring summer clothing suitable for hiking during the day but also some heavier head, as the evening there is a certain decrease in the temperature.
Brasil Planet has no constraints with the restaurants envisaged for the route, which are chosen by drivers and guides for logistical reasons and to offer a good quality at reasonable prices. Therefore remains at the discretion of the client whether to accept or to prefer, when available, another restaurant nearby.
Brasil Planet is not responsible for objects forgotten in hotels or inside the vehicles.

General Terms and Conditions of Contract

Alterations

Once the itinerary has been finalized and confirmed, and the travel documents have been sent, any subsequent modifications will incur an additional cost.
We cannot change the schedules of transportation or excursions during the execution of the trip, as our services are booked in advance, and any subsequent alterations will require the booking and payment of a new service.

Cancellations and Refunds
In case of trip cancellation, Brasil Planet will apply a penalty in accordance with Embratur regulation (Ministry of Tourism) no. 161 of August 9, 1985. The penalties are calculated on the total cost of the tour as follows:

20% penalty for cancellations made up to 30 days before the start of the trip.
30% penalty for cancellations made between 29 and 21 days before the start of the trip.
50% penalty for cancellations made between 20 and 7 days before the start of the trip.
100% penalty for cancellations made less than 7 days before the start of the trip.
No refunds will be provided for services you choose to cancel after the trip has started.
For trips booked during the Carnival and New Year periods, no refunds will be given.
